How to Extract Photos from Word File? [Solved]

Postby TheGal » Sat Aug 06, 2016 8:59 am

Hello,

is there anyone who can tell me how to extract photos from a word file?

actually after writing article when I copy paste the text in Wordpress editor images don't get copied pasted. So, I need to save each images from the doc and then upload on wordpress which is fine. But, for a post with a lot of images it becomes tough.

isn't there a way that can help me to get all the images extracted from Word document?

Exact problem I was facing before I knew the fix.

Once you are done with your article and images in the doc file. Close it. And, now go to the folder the doc file is saved. Change the file extension from .doc or .docx to .rar or .zip. It will show you some alert but don't worry proceed.

Now, you will see the doc file is converted now to a .rar or .zip file as you changed.

Now, extract that compressed file, and once it is done, you will see a folder name created with your doc file name. Now, open it and navigate to => Word => Media.

You will see all the images of that doc file is in that Media folder. Now you can just upload it to your Wordpress.

Saving each file is not required!

Now, if you want you can change back the extension from .rar or .zip to Doc or docx.

Enjoy.

Cheers!

I have got one more trick of this.

Just open the doc file in which your content is written and you have so many images in that too. Now, use the option Save As, and choose Web page, Filtered (*.htm, *.html), and click on save.

Now, go to the location where you have saved the doc file as HTML. You can see that as HTMl file now and you will also see a Folder with name "html file name_file"

html File Name implies to the file name with which you saved that as html.

You can see the Images in that folder.

Enjoy!

Now we have two tricks for this work :-)

Cheers!
