It is very simple to password protect a word 2010 document?

Follow the steps below:

Open Word 2010 on your Computer.
Go to File => Info => Permissions => Encrypt with password

password protect word file.png (85.72 KiB) Viewed 2080 times

Once you click on Encrypt with password you will see a pop up.

set password.png (15.75 KiB) Viewed 2080 times

set password and your file is now protected.
